I'm going on a family trip to New Orleans feb 24- mar 1 ... But have no idea what clothes to bring ? I'm from Manitoba Canada , the current temp is -28 .. What to expect when I get there?

So far I'm thinking:
Good pair of walking shoes
A sundress ?
Jeans
A long sleeve t
A sweater
And a couple light cardigans ...

Do I bring shorts ? Should most of my wardrobe be shorts and flip flops ?? PLEASE HELP! I'm leaving in a few days !!

The 10 day weather forecast for New Orleans indicates that rain is expected the first two days of your trip with scattered thunderstorms and the possibility of severe thunderstorms the second day. The rest of the week forecasts either partly cloudy to warm sunny days so pack accordingly. Flip flops are probably not the best shoe choice since most places you walk are cement, asphalt, and brick so some tennis shoes might be better foot support and comfort.

It's Feb 20, and it's 52 degrees outside right now. We are supposed to have a clash between warm humid air and the currently colder and dryer air, tomorrow. That means a big rain storm. What I'm saying is that we are heading into spring. Every day, no, every hour will be different.

Obviously, our weather will be warm to you. I'd suggest that you leave the sun dress out, bring some shorts and the rest. Bring an umbrella. Humidity and rain coats don't really mix.
